Identity and Integrity in Teaching
Hi! My name is Brianna King I work at Maxfield Elementary, I am a Reading Corps tutor. I've been a tutor for Reading Corps for 3 years, but before I became a tutor I worked at Maxfield as a teacher assistance. So, why do I think it is important that, as a future teacher, you learn about mindful awareness in the classroom setting: It's important for future teacher to learn mindful awareness, because we as educator don't want to jump at a problem right away without know what is happening in that moment. We have to think about many thing before we give a reaction. We don't want to make the issue bigger than it already is. We have to think about what caused this to happen, what happened between than and now for us to get this reaction that we are getting from the student.
